  Prompt Response:  My  most unforgettable meal was the first time I ever went to Europe. I was in the south of Italy and had the most beautiful pasta dish I've ever had. It was mind blowing to me how fresh the ingredients were and how the flavors contrasted in amazing ways. I've been yearning for that dish every week since then. I'll never taste anything like it in The States. This was my most unforgettable meal.  Summary: I didn't learn anything new due to taking a test.  Reflection:  We worked on taking the test as a group today.

  Prompt Response:  A  time when I realized I needed to look out for myself in a silly or harmless situation was sometime in Middle School. I didn't know it but I had a toxic friendship with a certain group of people. I didn't realize it because I was very brainwashed and was still trying to find myself. I decided one day to ditch these people completely and move on to better things once I reached High School. It has been one of the best decisions I've ever made.  Summary: I learned more about the passage we read in class. (I read it at home)  Reflection:  I got checked out early.

  Prompt Response:  A  time that I had an encounter with a homeless person directly was weirdly in England. I was on vacation and staying in a cheap little flat somewhere outside of London. An older drunk English man was always outside sleeping or sitting down. One day I decided to get him some KFC and talk about his past. He was a very kind old man who just lost his family and his career. It definitely will be a memorable experience for the rest of my life.  Summary: I learned about the first 3 paragraphs we read for our new short story.  Reflection:  We worked on reading our new short story.

  Prompt Response:  I am thankful for a lot of things and people going on in my life. I am the most thankful for the friends around me. If I didn't have their support I wouldn't be the person I am today. They help me when i'm in tough situations, support my music, and genuinely are amazing human beings. This is what I am thankful for.  Summary: I learned the vocabulary in Lesson 3. Reflection:  We worked on examples and questions 3-4 for the vocabulary.

Prompt: The last scene forces readers to reinterpret Emily’s entire life. Write about a moment when new information changed your perception of a person or situation. How did that “plot twist” reshape your understanding, the same way Faulkner’s ending reshapes the story?

  Prompt Response:  A  moment when new information changed my perception of a person or situation was pretty recent. I've known of this person since 7th grade and have heard a lot of questionable things about him. This year I have a couple classes with him and I've hung out with him out of class due to mutual friends. He turned out to be a great guy who just makes irresponsible decisions. I'm in no place to judge due to all of us being teenagers. Dumb decisions are gonna happen and you can't read a book by its cover. This is a  moment when new information changed my perception of a person or situation.  Summary:  I didn't learn anything more due to taking a quiz.  Reflection:  We worked on the pop quiz as a group.

  Prompt Response:  T he most shocking or “craziest” news story I have ever heard  was about a man who survived falling from an airplane without a parachute. He landed in a pile of snow and only broke a couple of bones. People were shocked and thought it was impossible at first. I chose this story because it showed how unpredictable life can be. It also revealed that humans have an amazing desire to survive, even in the most impossible situations. Summary: I learned about the entire story of "A Rose for Emily."  Reflection:  We worked on our character worksheet today.

  Prompt Response:  A  place that holds deep memories for me is my grandparents house in Huntsville, Alabama. It's one of the major locations where I've grown up the most. I've had so many different experiences at that little country house. I've also gained so much knowledge from my grandparents from helping them with different things. I wouldn't have the same work ethic or mindset if I haven't visited my grandparents ever since childhood. This is a place that holds deep memories for me.  Summary: I learned about the first 2 sections of "A Rose for Emily." Reflection:  We worked on reading the first 2 sections of "A Rose for Emily."
