Prompt: What strategies have you and your group used to ensure that all members are actively contributing to group assignments? Explain how you communicate, divide responsibilities, and hold each other accountable throughout the process.

Prompt Response:  S trategies my group and I used to ensure that all members actively contributed to group assignments were assigning responsibilities/parts, talking through problems, etc. To make the process quicker for assignments my group would split parts of the work up. If we had a problem with a specific question or trouble with wording something we'd get together to find a solution. We made these actions and responsibilities to make the work easier, resulting in not having to rush and have different mindsets. These were the s trategies my group and I used to ensure that all members actively contributed to group assignments. Summary: I learned new information from discussing with my group members about our topic.  Reflection:  I worked on the Writable assignment with my group members.

Prompt: What challenges did your group face while selecting and analyzing sources, and how did you overcome them? Be specific about how your group communicated and worked through disagreements.

Prompt Response:  C hallenges my group faced while selecting and analyzing sources was the data source. For the topic Population Growth it was a little difficult to find a good data source that we could all understand. We noticed that the one we agreed on at first was a little confusing and wasn't completely on topic. To overcome this problem we worked together and compared data sources to find the best one to use. This was the c hallenge my group faced while selecting and analyzing sources.  Summary:  I learned new sources of information from my teammates.  Reflection:  I worked on gathering group sources.

Prompt: Reflect on your research topic and identify the most compelling issue connected to it. Clearly explain what the issue is and discuss why you find it particularly interesting or important. Support your response with specific details from your research.

Prompt Response:  T he most compelling issues connected to my research topic are climate change and resource depletion. These issues are very important due to the effect they have on our day to day lives. For example, if there is a water shortage that can both affect our crops and our water supply for needs. Also, climate change affects the whole planet and everything that is surrounded. These are the most compelling issues connected to my research topic.  Summary: I learned new sources of information from my teammates.  Reflection:  I worked on gathering group sources.

Prompt: How has completing the annotated bibliography changed or clarified your understanding of your research topic? Discuss how your sources connect to one another and how they are shaping your argument moving forward.

Prompt Response:  C ompleting the annotated bibliography changed or clarified my understanding of my research topic due to now understanding the context. Before researching and finding sources I didn't understand the topic fully. My sources are going to help me have a solid argument for my case and help me make my point clear. This is why c ompleting the annotated bibliography changed or clarified my understanding of my research topic. Summary: I learned the next steps of the project.  Reflection:  I worked on my blog post.

Prompt: Which part of the annotated bibliography (summary, reflection, or evaluation) was the most challenging for you, and why? Explain how that challenge helped you grow as a researcher and how it will help you when writing your research paper.

Prompt Response:  Summarizing in the bibliography was the most challenging for me due to being uninterested. I've never been great at retaining information that I don't find interesting. It's definitely good practice to retain the information. I'm hoping it will give me an advantage for writing my research essay. This is why s ummarizing in the bibliography was the most challenging for me.  Summary:  I learned more ways to search up for specific topics or sources.  Reflection:  I worked on my annotated bibliography.

Prompt: As you gathered sources, you were expected to find multiple perspectives on your topic. What differences did you notice between your sources? Explain how these differences helped you better understand the complexity of your issue.

Prompt Response:  The  differences I noticed between my sources were that sometimes the source was talking about people, animals, plants, decreasing population, increasing population, etc. It made me realize that there isn't just one conflict with population growth/decline for climate change. Everything in the world affects each other and if something changes it's going to change something else. These are the differences I noticed between my sources.  Summary: I learned more ways to search up for specific topics or sources.  Reflection:  I worked on gathering information from articles, magazines, and images.

Prompt: Think about your experience using GALILEO to find sources. How was this different from how you have searched for information in the past? Explain how using specific search strategies and evaluating sources impacted the quality of what you found.

Prompt Response:  T his was different from how I have searched for information in the past due to the amount of specific information I can find. Using Google is useful but you can never find the specific data or information you need. Galileo gives you specific years, anchor words, and subjects to help you find the exact information you need. It's been great for essays and assignments with more specific information being needed. This is how Galileo was different from how I have searched for information in the past.   Summary: I learned the proper way to do MLA format for my assignment.  Reflection:  I worked on gathering information from articles, magazines, images.

Prompt: Political cartoons often use exaggeration and symbolism to make a point, and they can also serve as important visual sources for analysis. What is being criticized in this image? What does this source suggest about the issue, and what does the cartoonist want the audience to question or reconsider?

Prompt Response:  By the image on Canvas the cartoon is criticizing Donald Trumps looks on immigration and the war with Iran.  This source suggests how ICE's actions are is making a bad impression on a good amount of the country's views and that Trump might be trying to avoid the situation by bringing up a new conflict that is occurring in the world right now. I'm not totally aware of what the "Dodge" chainsaw is supposed to be referencing. Finally, I'm not 100% sure what "Big Beautiful Bill" is referring to. This is what I think the cartoon on Canvas is trying to show.  Summary: I learned the proper way to skim and gather information.  Reflection:  I worked on gathering information from articles, magazines, and graphs.

Prompt: Think about how you have searched for information in the past compared to what you practiced today. How is creating specific search phrases different from just “Googling” a topic? Explain how this strategy will improve the quality of your research.

Prompt Response:  Creating specific search phrases are different from just “Googling” a topic due to the algorithm being very specific. If you research for something and ask very specific questions you will be given with accurate answers. In the past I would search up very vague questions and wouldn't get the answers I'd be looking for. After practicing researching for school I've gotten a lot better with rephrasing and digging deeper for information. This is how c reating specific search phrases are different from just “Googling” a topic.  Summary: I learned about information in the CommonLit posted today.  Reflection:  I worked on the CommonLit.

Prompt: Your research question is designed to explore a complex issue. What makes this topic difficult to answer or solve? Identify at least two different perspectives or factors related to your topic and explain why understanding multiple viewpoints is important.

Prompt Response:  My research question is designed to explore a complex issue and what makes this topic difficult to answer or solve is the lack of knowledge my group has on the topic. Our topic is on Population Growth which is the increase in the number of people in an area. I can't give two different perspectives on this topic due to lack of knowledge. What I do know is that anything that you are researching you should always have data on both viewpoints and not just one. This is how my  research question is designed to explore a complex issue and what makes this topic difficult to answer or solve.  Summary:  I learned about my classmates perspectives on how to ask a question for a search engine.  Reflection:  I worked on the research essay project.

Prompt: Reflect on your past experiences with research in school. What challenges have you faced when working independently or in a group, and how did you handle them? Explain how those experiences will influence the way you approach this current research project.

Prompt Response:  My  past experiences with research in school have been good but challenging at times. I always do better in a group setting but If i'm trying to dial in and focus on research I prefer being independent. Sometimes it's hard to research something specific with group members due to different variations of data being collected. I think each member should be assigned to a different task for different things. Due to the amount of experience I have researching and collecting data with groups I think I'll do just fine on this research project. This is my past experience with research in school.  Summary: I learned about my topic in class for the research essay project by talking to my classmates.  Reflection:  I worked on the research essay project.

Prompt: If you could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities—what would it look like? Where would you go, who would you bring, and what would you do?

Prompt Response:   If I could plan the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities I would get a group of friends for a trip to Europe. I'd probably want to do a round trip to France, Amsterdam, and England. The best vacation in my opinion is just hanging out and doing local activities, but I would plan a few historical things for us to visit. I'm trying to make this happen Senior year but I'd like to go to Ireland/Scotland.   This is what I w ould plan for the perfect spring break with no limitation, money, time, or responsibilities  Summary: I learned about information in the Common Lit "Making college matter." Reflection:  I worked on my common Lit assignment.

Prompt: McCandless set out to live independently in the wilderness, but his death reveals the harsh reality of nature and survival. In your blog post, analyze how his desire for independence contributed to his death. Then, connect this idea to your own life by explaining a time when you wanted complete independence or control over a situation. Did things go as planned, or did you face unexpected challenges?

Prompt Response:  McCandless's  desire for independence contributed to his death due to the lack of planning and knowledge. Chris went into the wilderness with no experience and expected to successfully survive without problems. A time when I wanted complete independence or control over a situation was planning Spring Break sophomore year. Some friends and I were going to the beach so I decided to take responsibility over planning our days. I didn't want any help from my parents and it turned into a disaster. I wasn't experienced in dealing with reservations, last minute moments, etc. This is a  time when I wanted complete independence or control over a situation.  Summary: I learned about new perspectives from Into The Wild film.  Reflection:  I watched the Into The Wild movie.

Prompt: How does watching the film version of Into the Wild change or deepen your understanding of Chris McCandless compared to reading the book? In your response, explain one key difference in how his character or experiences are presented, and connect this to a time when seeing something visually changed your understanding of a situation.

Prompt Response:  W atching the film version of Into the Wild changed my understanding of Chris McCandless compared to reading the book due to the amount of emotion shown. In the book McCandless was represented as selfish, rude, and whiny. However, in the film McCandless had confidence, personality, kindness, etc.  A time when seeing something visually changed my understanding of a situation was at work. My co-workers were saying that a customer was being rude and obnoxious. I believed them until I saw the person was just hangry and didn't mean anything by the attitude expressed. After the customer had her meal she apologized and thanked us for the amazing meal.   Summary: I learned about the different outlooks of the book and the film for Into The Wild.  Reflection:  I watched Into The Wild and answered questions.
