Prompt Response:  A relationship in my life where I feel truly understood is the relationship I have with my Dad. Similar to Chris and Carine, we have a lot in common. We show the same musical interests, hobbies, etc. We are basically carbon copies of each other. I'm very grateful to have a Dad that is this cool.    Prompt Response:  When I experience strong emotions I handle them by being honest and talking about it. If I express my emotions I will feel better about myself and be relieved. My parents influenced this approach due to them wanting me to be honest as a child. This has definitely made me a better person overtime and cleared my mindset. When I experience strong emotions, this is how I handle them.  Summary:  I learned about what went on in chapter 12.  Reflection:  I worked on answering questions with the class for chapter 12.

  Prompt Response:  T he visual version of Chris’s journey make his choices seem more justified  than the text does due to the visual context given. The text gave us visuals to assume but never gave us real eye to eye moments. It's easier to understand McCandless's desire to leave society and be alone. This is why the  visual version of Chris’s journey make his choices seem more justified  than the text.  Summary: I learned about more specific moments in "Into The Wild" by watching the film.  Reflection:  I worked on the Illuminate assignment.

  Prompt Response:   A  moment when my understanding of my family changed as I got older was when my parents told me about their life in the past. They decided to keep information from me until I was old enough. Some people like McCandless would be hurt but I thought it was the right choice for my parents. I respected the information they told me and found it interesting.   Prompt Response:  The chapter that  stood out to the most was Chapter 9. This chapter was meaningful, interesting, or impactful because of the relation McCandless built with Franz. It was very family oriented which gave me very different emotions all throughout the chapter. When Franz found out about McCandless, I found it heartbreaking and felt depressed. This is the chapter that stood out to me the most.  Summary: I learned the test is 40 questions long.  Reflection:  I worked on the chapters 1-10 test on Into The Wild.

  Prompt Response: A  time I  have chosen to be on my own instead of relying on others was very refreshing. A group of friends really wanted to get together and do a big group hangout. I had a hard decision of studying for this big test or hanging out with my friends. I leaned towards studying due to hanging out with them the following week. As a result, I made a good grade on the test and felt more confident in school for knowing the content. This is a  time I  have chosen to be on my own instead of relying on others.  Summary: I learned about new information In chapter 8.  Reflection:  I started working on the critical thinking questions for the assignment.

  Prompt Response:  A  vocabulary word from Lesson 10 that resonates with me personally is luminous. The word relates to light, brilliance, and that's how I am trying to represent myself. The goal for myself everyday is to have a positive mindset on everything I can. Some people would say to bring a positive energy to the room.
