Prompt: Write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.

Prompt Response:  A specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish was a few months back at my work. I was working on a Saturday and it was packed in the whole entire restaurant. A lady called asking if we could take a reservation for 11. I told her that we don't do reservations but we could try our best to hold something but if nothing turns out, there's nothing we can do. She came later that night with her 10 other friends and yelled at me for not having the space when I clearly told her the specifics early. This was a specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish.

Summary: We read and broke down a poem.

Reflection: I was out due to a doctors appointment.

Prompt: After watching the short film Identity, write a blog post reflecting on how the masks in the film represent the pressure to fit in and the struggle to discover who you really are. Choose one moment from the film that stood out to you and explain why. Then, connect the film’s message to Langston Hughes’ poem “I, Too” and to the mask you are creating in class. What part of your identity do you want your mask to reveal?
