Prompt: In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you

Prompt Response: I spent my Holiday Break at home this year. Not much happened besides hanging out with friends, spending time with family during Christmas, and going to a party for New Years Eve. I had a very relaxing and nice time this break. I'm ready to have a fresh 2nd semester.

The first goal that I want to achieve this year is really locking into my music theory lessons. This goal is important because it will increase my knowledge of guitar and allow me to have more building blocks while playing music. To accomplish this goal, I will practice the routines that my teacher gives me for 30 minutes a day, practice to a metronome while playing scales, and improvise to soundtracks or songs. By the end of 2026, I plan to see more progress and be able to use my knowledge as building blocks.

The second goal that I want to achieve this year is going to the gym more consistently. This goal is important because it is a great way to keep yourself fit and a healthy way to cope. To accomplish this goal, I will go to the gym 2-3 times a week for an hour, focus on eating the right amount of calories, and focus on eating the protein I need. Every 2 months until the end of 2026, I plan to see more progress and continue this healthy habit.

The third goal that I want to achieve this year is to really lock in my plan for after high school. This goal is important because it will allow me not just to wing trying to get into specifically Ovation Mechanics. To accomplish this goal, I will start researching what I can do to study to get into Ovation Mechanics class at Atlanta Mechanical School and start by studying the material once a week for 2 hours.

The fourth goal that I want to achieve this year is staying off social media more. This goal is important because it will increase my mental health in a positive way and help me think more clearly. To accomplish this goal, I will start by not looking at my phone when I wake up and right before I go to bed. I will later on set a time limit on my phone for social media, which will help with staying off of it.

Summary: I learned about the expectations for this semester.

Reflection: We did our assignment on Writable.
