Prompt: If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why? Explain what each object represents and how it connects to your personality.

Prompt Response: If I had to describe how I show love using only three objects, I would choose music, confrontation, and food. I chose these because I express these feelings/actions everyday with the people I care about most. Music is to be shared, expressing feelings, and putting emotions into meals. The main object of love I show has to be music due to how that's my entire life and personality. This is what I've chosen if I had to describe how I show love using only three objects.

Summary: I learned nothing because I needed to complete my essay today.

Reflection: We worked on valentine poems for our parents, but I had to finish my essay.

Prompt: After watching the short film Identity, write a blog post reflecting on how the masks in the film represent the pressure to fit in and the struggle to discover who you really are. Choose one moment from the film that stood out to you and explain why. Then, connect the film’s message to Langston Hughes’ poem “I, Too” and to the mask you are creating in class. What part of your identity do you want your mask to reveal?
