   Prompt Response:  The new ideas or perspectives I gained from my poster were very positive. I got a lot of good compliments on the creative design, the personal Metaphors/Similes I used, and how I laid out everything. This was overall a very fun project to make and I would be fine with doing it again. These were the new ideas or perspectives I gained from my poster.  Summary:  I learned about all of my other classmates perspectives from their posters.  Reflection:  We worked on giving comments to our classmates posters.

  Prompt Response:  The  topic that challenged me the most when creating my figurative language was "Pressure to Fit In." I really had to think hard about this topic and be truthful with myself on how I feel in society. It's difficult to be yourself In this day in age with the amount of negativity that goes around. I then realized how the world is like a mask that most people won't fit in and refused to wear. This is the topic that challenged me the most when creating my figurative language.  Summary: I learned more about myself while working on this project.  Reflection:  We worked on the Rising in My Own Words project.

  Prompt Response:   What I learned about myself while writing my figurative language was the amount of similarity and difference I have with people. All people are different in some way and that's totally fine. Sometimes you'll get phrased for it, judged, or nothing. It really makes you think a different way and humbles you. This is what I learned about myself while writing my figurative language.  Summary: I learned about the requirements on our Digital Poster today.  Reflection:  We worked on the Digital Poster (Rising in My Own Words).

  Prompt Response:   Something I did over the break that helped me reset before returning to school was going to Orange Beach, Alabama with my friends and family. Most of the time we played music together in the basement and listened to a lot of records. Mardi Gras was happening so we decided to attend the parade and hangout for a few hours. It was a very refreshing reset and I had a very enjoyable time. This is something I did over the break that helped me reset before returning to school.  Summary: I learned about this new author & poem for Black History Month today.  Reflection:  We worked on finding Similes & Metaphors in this poem we read.

  Prompt Response:   If I had to describe how I show love using only three objects, I would choose music, confrontation, and food. I chose these because I express these feelings/actions everyday with the people I care about most. Music is to be shared, expressing feelings, and putting emotions into meals. The main object of love I show has to be music due to how that's my entire life and personality. This is what I've chosen if I had to describe how I show love using only three objects.  Summary: I learned nothing because I needed to complete my essay today.  Reflection:  We worked on valentine poems for our parents, but I had to finish my essay.

  Prompt Response:  T his experience impacted my confidence as a writer and whether I feel prepared to continue analyzing complex speeches and texts in American Literature due to the amount of preparing we did. I didn't completely understand rhetoric at first and it really took me a good minute to fully understand it. It's very refreshing to understand the reasoning people use different ways to word their speech and actions. With this new information, it's very useful for everyday use.  T his is how this experience impacted my confidence as a writer and whether I feel prepared to continue analyzing complex speeches and texts in American Literature Summary: I learned the best way to write a Rhetorical Analysis essay with the very helpful and clear planning sheet.  Reflection:  We worked on writing our essays. I got a good start and had to be checked out.
